Thanks to Facebook I now receive messages from a great aunt I haven’t seen in 35 years. She an old southern gal that can’t seem to find the cap lock key

BOBBY IS IN NURSING HOME IN ELBERTON, BUT HIS SON BILL HARTWELL IS ON HERE. AND DOYLES GRAND KIDS. BILLY HARTWELL HIS SON AND WIFE IS ON HERE.IT’S SO GREAT WE ALL CAN TALK TO ONE ANOTHER. I HAVE MY DAUGHTER BETH IS ON HERE AND ANN’S DAUGHTER CARLA IS ON HERE. SOME OF GARTHEL GRAND KIDS IS ON HERE. TOMMY ANDERSON DAUGHTER IS ON HERE WEYMANS ANDERSON THERE KIDS ARE ALSO ON HERE, SO WE HAVE GOOD MANY EVERYONE CAN GET TO KNOW THERE KIN PEOPLE.

“When I was 12, I got my first period. I was so embarrassed and had to work to get the nerve to confide in my mother. When I told her, she seemed very excited and oddly proud of me. Later on that day, I joined my mom, dad and younger brother at the dinner table only to be greeted with a cake that was decorated with the words ‘Congrats on your 1st Period.’ That’s right, my mom had baked a celebratory menstruation cake.”

Hi everyone,

We could not be more excited about Jack’s upcoming 1st birthday and the fact that he gets to share it with his entire family both near and far. This many people may be somewhat overwhelming for Jack in the beginning so my advice to everyone is to not over-stimulate him but instead give him a chance to get used to all the excitement. This is a week all about JACK and we want it to be amazing for him. The places we are going are his favorites. The food we chose are the foods he loves the most.

I have put together the following agenda…

Monday, April 13
(Steve works 11-3:15)
8:30 am: Bonnie and Jack leave for Charlotte NC
12:00 pm: Grannie and Gramps arrive (lunch in Charlotte)
6:00 pm: Dinner at house (to be prepared by Steve)

Tuesday, April 14
(Steve works 9:45-5)
-Breakfast at home (eggs, grits and hash browns)
-Party supply store (Bon, Jack, Grannie and Gramps)
-Lunch Sticky Fingers
7:05 pm: Riverdogs Baseball Game (dinner at park)

Wednesday, April 15
(Steve works 3:30-9:15)
-Breakfast at home (biscuits and gravy)
-Columbia Zoo (Bon, Jack, Grannie, Gramps)
-Lunch in Columbia
-Dinner at home (Spaghetti and meatballs)

Thursday, April 16 (JACK’s BIRTHDAY)
-Breakfast at home (home-made waffles)
-Charleston Aquarium
-Lunch downtown Charleston/Cupcake Store
6:00 Birthday dinner at Nana’s House
MENU (meatloaf, mac-n-cheese, broccoli, cupcakes)

Friday, April 17
(Steve works 11-3:15)
4:30 am: Drew, Doug and Katia leave for Charleston
-Patty and Tommy drive to Charleston
-Breakfast at house (cinnamon buns)
10:30 am: Jack Dr, apt (1 year checkup)
-Pick up food and cake for party
-Charleston Kids Museum
-Lunch at the Buccaneer
-Dinner at Kelly’s BBQ when everyone arrives

Saturday, April 18
-9:30 leave house for breakfast at Golden Coral
-Tour around Downtown Charleston
-Lunch at Red’s on Shem Creek
6:00 Party
Food platters and cake

Sunday, April 19
-Drew, Doug, Katia, Patty and Tommy leave
-Breakfast at home (bagels and spread for when people leave)
-Folly beach (Steve and Gramps fish)
-Lunch at Folly Beach
-Dinner at home (grill at Nana’s house/burgers and dogs)

Monday, April 20
8:00 am: leave for Charlotte to take Grannie and Gramps
Steve, Jack and Bonnie to spend day in Charlotte

We look forward to seeing everyone and everyone seeing Jack.

The AFP Grandparents return to talk about one of their first dates and the price you pay for getting fresh.

Ok so I was with a couple of my friends and we were in the bathroom. We’re talking between the stalls like girls do, and we hear this voice. “Girls, can you help me?” I came out of the stall and while washing my hands, asked what the problem was. The lady in the end stall says, “I need help. I went to the bathroom and now I need help. Can you give me some paper towels with warm water and soap?” As I’m getting the paper towels for her, I hear the stall door open. Yep. There she stands, pants around her ankles, shirt up over the boobs. My friends and I were in shock!! I tried to hand her the paper towels so I could get the heck out of there and she says, “No, I need YOU to wipe it.”. Now, I was a pre-med student at the time, so I was trying to be level headed and calm. I explained to the lady that I could not do that for her; that it was unsafe for her AND for me. She didn’t get it. She simply said that she couldn’t reach and needed help. She was a bigger woman, in case you haven’t guessed. By this time a clerk came in and the lady asked HER to do it. The clerk said that her job description did not include wiping asses. Then we tried to locate her family members, but she said they had dropped her off and were coming back to pick her up later. Once we convinced her that we were NOT going to wipe her ass, she just says, “Well can you check to see if I got it all?” She then proceeded to turn around to show us her ass. At this point, we were done and walked out without looking back. Unbelievable!
